Welcome to Herons Lake Retreat

Herons Lake Retreat is an affordable, luxurious lodge park in North Wales. We specialise in short breaks in an exceptional area of outstanding natural beauty. Located off the beaten path, our hidden retreat nestles alongside two lakes, linked by flowing streams & mature woodland – it’s the perfect setting to de-stress, re-charge & explore the beautiful countryside.

We provide a selection of one bed, two bed or three bed lodges & studio pods, each one stunningly unique. If you’re looking for modern comforts or an authentic, rustic interior – you’ll find it all at Herons Lake Retreat.

Whether you’d prefer a lakeside, woodland or valley view from the comfort of your private hot tub – we have something for everyone. Can’t bear to leave your four-legged friend behind? We have a number of pet friendly lodges available, with fantastic walks on our doorstep too!

We arrived on Friday for a long weekend here, we stayed in the Quail lodge which was so cosy and well laid out. The hot tub was amazing and just topped off the weekend, I loved the fairy lights too! Beautiful surroundings and some walks nearby for the dog, we had food at the Dinorben Arms on Saturday which was lovely. Couldn’t have picked a better weekend for the weather - will definitely be returning. Thanks!

Stayed here for the weekend in owl lodge. Lovely cabin, modern fittings and equipment, spacious comfortable and private. Loved the space we had for our dog to stroll about in on the front and and all loved our hot tub. Such a lovely setting and will definitely be returning.

My lovely girlfriend had booked this as a surprise for my 25th birthday this weekend. Great location & very roomy as well as cosy. Our hot tub was very private & the fairy lights surrounding area made for very good pictures with the lake in the background. There’s plenty to do in the area, and if you fancy a nice meal then I’d highly recommend the Piccadilly inn. Staff are very helpful and welcoming.

Just come home after a 2 night break at Herons Retreat and what a lovely time we had. I took my husband and 2 children (16 / 12yrs) and we had the most chilled and relaxing couple of days. The hot tub was amazing. We had breath taking views and just peace and tranquility. I couldn't recommend it enough. We paid for the early check in and out and that made it, no rushing. Just a lovely break and we can't wait to come back xx

We have just spent 1 lovely night in a beautiful lodge. Staff are fab so friendly and make you very welcome. Set in a beautiful quiet spot its ideal for a break away.
